One person has died in a massive fire that broke out at a paper factory in east Delhi early this morning. Thirty-two fire engines were rushed to the spot.
The fire broke out at the paper factory in Patparganj Industrial Area around 2 am, said by officials. Visuals are saying that massive fire at the 3-stair building as firemen tried to put out the flames.
Clouds of smoke rose from the building this morning after flames were drenched.
The officials said that the fire is under control and we are trying to find out the cause of the accident.
The latest incident happened before weeks that 9 people were killed (including 3 children) in a fire at a cloth warehouse in northwest Delhi. The building in the Kirari area had no fire equipment and only one staircase.
In last month, 43 people were killed in a massive fire accident at an illegal bag-and-paper factory, near Central Delhi. The fire at Anaj Mandi was the second-worst in Delhi after the tragedy in Uphaar Cinema that killed 59 people and injured over 100 people.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) had described the Anaj Mandi Fire Accident as a disaster that was waiting to happen.
